Commitment

Copetown Woods Golf Club is committed to equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We work to provide services in ways that respect dignity and independence, support integration and equal opportunity, and address accessibility needs in a timely manner.

Training

Employees, volunteers and others who provide goods, services or facilities on our behalf receive training on Ontario accessibility requirements and the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities. Training is appropriate to each person’s responsibilities and is updated when our policies change.

Information and communications

We work to make public information and feedback processes accessible. When requested, we consult with the person making the request to provide accessible formats or communication supports that meet their needs, at no additional cost.

Employment

We support fair and accessible employment practices. Accommodations are available on request during recruitment, assessment, hiring and employment. Employees are informed about available supports and may receive an individual accommodation plan when needed.

Return to work

We maintain a documented return-to-work process for employees who have been absent due to a disability and need disability-related accommodations to return. Individual accommodation plans are included where appropriate.

Public spaces

We consider Ontario’s accessibility standards when building or making major changes to public spaces, including public eating areas, paths of travel, parking, service counters and waiting areas.

Customer service and service disruptions

We provide customer service in ways that respect the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. If an accessible service or public area is temporarily unavailable, we provide notice and information about available alternatives whenever possible.
